While GenAI will initially lead to job losses in many sectors and occupations, other sectors will grow as the economy adjusts. The good news is, as of 1/2024, 36% of the global population still does not have access to the internet, which leaves almost 3 billion people immune to the first-hand effects of GenAi.
The question is: what happens to the rest – the estimated 6 percent of the remaining 5 billion who will be jobless in the (near?) future?
What will happen if governments lose the input of 300 million taxpayers and the profits shift more and more to the private sector?
